Sunday School: The Meaning of the Baseball Game

The baseball game was a vision given to a Christian who prayed.

This summary can be shared with your Sunday School, Bible Study and Devotions group.

If you’re Jesus friend
It’s like being on His team.

He is the Captain.

Have you come in to bat yet?

If you are on Jesus’ team in life he is your coach.

He will never leave you—ever!

Will you go in ‘to bat’ for Him?

Sunday School: Baseball

Share this inspirational story with your Bible Study, Devotions and Kids Club.

The Baseball Game

I was reminded of the story of the boys who were playing ball out in a field one day.
A man was passing by.
He asked one of the boys how the game was going.
The boy replied that it was going fine.

Then the man asked,
“What is the score.”
The boy answered that it was 35 to 0.
But the man wanted to know who was winning so he asked again,
“In whose favour.”

The boy replied that it was in favour of the other team.
Then the man was sorry for the boy and his team.

If the score was 35 to 0 then he knew that they were being beaten very badly.

The boy looked puzzled and said, “Oh, no, Sir! We are not getting beat.”
Now the man was puzzled.
He asked how the boy figured that they were not losing when they were behind 35 to 0.

Whereupon the boy explained
“Sir we haven’t come in to bat yet.”

Sunday School: Jerusalem Map

Share this with your Sunday School, Bible Study and Devotions group.

Find the places on your map where Jesus would have been.

*The Upper Room where Jesus had supper before his death.

*Probably the same room as the secret meeting.

*Temple where Jesus was angry at the priests for cheating.

*Herod’s palace where he wanted Jesus to do a miracle so he could see it.

*The crosses where he was crucified.

*The tomb where two friends put him

Bible Study: Thomas Believes

Your Kids Club, Sunday School and Bible Study members can be blessed. Tell them.

Jesus’ friends were having a secret meeting in the upstairs room because they didn’t want to be arrested too.
The doors and even the windows were locked for safety.

Thomas was there too.

Then another strange thing happened. Jesus was suddenly there in the room and he noticed Thomas immediately. ” Thomas.’ he said, ‘Put your finger into my hands and side.”

Thomas could see for himself that Jesus was alive.

He felt so ashamed. He fell at Jesus feet and apologized.
But Jesus said, “You only believe in me because you’ve seen me…
The people who believe in me but don’t see me will be greatly blessed.”

That means you and me.

We believe even though we can’t see Jesus with or eyes.

Bible Study: About Thomas

This story about Thomas is similar to many attitudes today. Share it with your Sunday School, Kids Club and Devotions group.

Thomas was not the sort to believe everything people told him.
He said, He wouldn’t believe Jesus was alive unless he saw him with him own eyes and put his finger in the marks in Jesus hands where those thick metal nails had hammered him to the cross.
He also wanted to touch the place in Jesus side where the soldiers spear pierced him.

The soldier had wanted to make sure that Jesus on the cross was really dead.

Now everything had changed.

Some people were so excited.
If Jesus was alive what would happen now?
Some of Jesus friends were scared.
If they killed a good man like Jesus what would they do to his friends?

Jesus’ friends were having a secret meeting in the upstairs room because they didn’t want to be arrested too.
The doors and even the windows were locked for safety.

Thomas was there too.

Then another strange thing happened.

Jesus was suddenly there in the room and he noticed Thomas immediately.
"Thomas.’ he said, ‘Put your finger into my hands and side.”

Bible Study: Empty!

For your Sunday School, Bible Study and Devotions group.

The tomb really was empty where Jesus body had been

Not everybody could believe it and you can understand that.

Some believed it because they had seen Jesus alive with their own eyes and others believed because they knew God’s power was in Jesus.

They had seen the miracles he did.

Thomas was one of Jesus own friends but he didn’t believe it.

Devotions:A Crack of Light

This message of 'Jesus' alive again' is for your Sunday School, Devotions and Bible Study groups.

After the darkness of trouble a crack of light appears….

It was a miserable walk to Emmaus for Jesus’ two friends.
Now that he was dead it was the end of all their wonderful plans.

Last week they thought Jesus would save the world but now that was all gone.
It couldn’t get any worse.

Jesus really loved people. He was both strong and gentle.
With God’s power he made the sick well.
Even people who were dead.
Remember the boy who came back to life at his own funeral.
Now Jesus was dead.
But this person walking with them kept asking questions.
Didn’t he know anything?

Jesus’ body was in the cave—a tomb in the garden.
The stranger didn’t seem to understand that Jesus was dead.
But he told them interesting things about God’s plans so they invited him in to their house.
He seemed glad for a rest and he stopped to eat with them.

The next shock came just as they began to eat.
When the stranger said thanks to God for the food it was just like Jesus.
It was queer.
They looked at him strangely and then they knew it was true.
It was Jesus – he was alive!!
Just as they recognized him, he disappeared.

The person who could save the world was alive again.
