Bible Study: John the Cousin of Jesus

Share this information of the nature of John with your Kids Club, Bible Study and Sunday School scholars.

God Speaks to John
Even when he was growing up John knew he was to prepare the way for God’s special person “the Messiah.” Who would he be?
He didn’t know it would be his cousin Jesus.

John was always listening for God to give him a message.
He spent most of the time in the desert.
Most days he ate wild locusts and wore animal skins for clothes.

People said he was like the famous prophet Elijah because he preached in the desert.

He told people to stop pretending and be honest with God. If they did he baptised them in the River Jordon.
