Sunday School: Mother's Answer

A Sociology professor in the
American mid-west was to address a college speech night to emphasize the colleges religious connections.
During the evening lecture a woman came down the isle carrying her child in her arms.
The child was crippled and in callipers.
“What do you want?” he asked.
“God told me to come,” she replied, you are supposed to heal my child.”
......
Three years later the Professor was guest speaker in a church in St Louis when a lady came forward, saying “I wanted you to see my son.”
This was the same child standing tall and straight.
“How is this?” he asked.
“Don’t you remember, we prayed, she said, Each morning he would wake up crying because his callipers were too tight and I would have to adjust them until finally his legs were quite straight!.
