Devotions: The People Prayed

It began February 4th 1998 on the Gold Coast.
Riding his bike home from work one evening, John crashed into a car reversing onto the road.

He received serious head injuries as he was thrown over the top of the vehicle. John was dying as he arrived at the hospital.
Medical staff felt it best to let him die.
It seemed
impossible for him to live throughout the night but doctors operated and damaged brain removed.

It was 2 a.m. when John’s boss suggested prayer.
So prayer for John’s full recovery began in Wangi Morisset, across denominations, and the Internet.
After ten days there were no special results but a prayer for the dying
began a change. John’s healing was now surprising everyone.

It had seemed medically impossible but steadily John improved and has now tested normal, surprising even the doctors.

Twelve months later John is racing bikes in Germany, and
Holland and doing well..
All because, as John in an interview told prime TV,
“It was the people that prayed for me.”
