A thermometer or a thermostat?

A thermometer exists to tell the temperature.
A thermostat exists to change it.
Thermostats don’t merely register that it’s hot or cold; they respond to our touch and actually alter the environment.
The whole mechanism of my heating system will fight the cold because I made a decision:
I decided how warm it should be and the
thermostat responded by changing the temperature.

As Christians we must be thermostats.
We respond to the Holy Spirit’s touch by causing change.
God has placed in our hands the power and authority to do that.
