The power of the gift - began the Church
Jesus said, “Do not leave without the gift I told you about, the gift my father promised.”
So Jesus’ followers hurried to Jerusalem to wait and pray and on the day of Pentecost they got it!

Suddenly a sound of wind filled the house and what looked like flickering flames came and touched each person.
Their hearts were filled with joy.
The Holy Spirit filled them and gave them the ability to speak languages they didn’t know.
The visitors to the city heard the wonderful works of God in their own language and many joined them.
