Devotions: The Commandant's Deception

In time General Mac Arthur led his troops to victory and soldiers—war prisoners were released.
As a prisoner of war, hidden away in Mongolia, General Wainwright was unaware of his country's position.

The enemy superior kept the truth of the war’s end from the General but he knew that they would soon change places.

He knew he would become the captive and Wainwright the captor.

The enemy commandant with military force at his command would be nervous and fearful of the weak, emaciated, dysentery plagued General.

The reason?
The enemy superior’s position was based on a lie.
