Pilgrims Progress
The mocking people from Vanity Fair kept Christian in prison where he was sad at heart for his friend Faithful.

But God helped him to escape with another pilgrim called Hopeful.

As Christian and Hopeful went on their way they came to a stile.
“Here is a short cut,” said Christian.

The short cut was called By-Path meadow and it seemed easy.

But they lost their way and it became dark.
